Trademark Lawyer for Creators & Digital Businesses

Trademark clearance, filing, prosecution, portfolio strategy, and practical brand protection for creator names, media brands, products, podcasts, communities, and digital businesses.

A creator’s name can become a media brand. A podcast can become a company. A recurring series can become a product line.

Trademark strategy helps protect the names and brands that tell the market where those products, services, and content come from.

Rechtszaid Law advises creators and digital businesses on trademark clearance, filing, prosecution, and practical portfolio strategy.

What We Help Protect

Depending on the business, trademark work may involve creator names, business names, podcast names, media brands, product brands, course names, community names, logos, slogans and recurring phrases where protectable, entertainment brands, and merchandise brands.

The Business Question Comes First

Not every name needs to be filed immediately.

A useful trademark strategy considers what the client is actually building, where the brand is being used, what products or services matter, which names are likely to last, expansion plans, budget, enforcement value, and whether clearance risk exists before launch.

The goal is not to collect registrations for their own sake. It is to protect brands that matter to the business.

Common Questions

Is my LLC name automatically trademarked?
No. Forming an LLC and obtaining a federal trademark registration are different legal processes and provide different rights.
Should I trademark my podcast name?
Potentially, especially if the podcast name functions as a brand and you plan to build a long-term media or commercial business around it. Clearance should come before assuming the name is available.
Can I trademark a phrase I say in every video?
Sometimes, but repeated use alone does not automatically make a phrase protectable. The phrase generally has to function as a source identifier for particular goods or services, and other trademark requirements still apply.
Do I need separate trademark protection for merch and content?
Potentially. Trademark rights are tied to particular goods and services. A brand used for entertainment content may require different coverage from the same brand used on clothing or other products.
